The horse world has its own language. Here are a few terms you'll come across.
Male horse under 4 years of age.
Young horse between 1 & 2 years of age, either sex.
Female horse under 4 years of age.
Intact adult male horse, used for breeding.
Castrated adult male horse.
Young horse up to 1 year of age, either sex.
Young horse up to 1 year of age that has just been weaned.
Female horse over 4 years of age.
